Duck Territory: Former Oregon quarterback Justin Herberthas stood out in the first season in the NFL and after just seven starts, the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback has taken home his sixth NFL Rookie of the Week honor for his 326 passing yard, two-touchdown performance against the Las Vegas Raiders this past weekend.
Herbert nearly led the Chargers to a comeback win, giving his receivers two opportunities to haul in a would-be game-winning touchdown in the final seconds. Although the Chargers came up short, Herbert’s play has put the franchise in a good scenario for the future.
