Duck Territory: Starting 48 games over four seasons for the Oregon Ducks at center, Jake Hanson is familiar with the position. But as the rookie transitions to the NFL with the Green Bay Packers, Hanson has been tasked with learning to work with a quarterback under center instead of out of the shotgun or pistol formations.
The Ducks operated exclusively out of the shotgun or pistol formations over the past four seasons, so for Hanson, the amount to learn during the Packers has been greater, especially with no mini camps or preseason games. Regardless, Hanson has embraced the challenge.
