By Dave McCann, Deseret News: A college football rule change approved Friday may not seem like a big deal on the surface, but had it come earlier, it could have greatly altered BYU’s illustrious football past.
The playing rules oversight committee voted to allow the clock to continue running after first downs (like the NFL). It believes it will eliminate, on average, seven plays from each game.
