Eight teams from West selected for 32-team National Invitational Tournament

The 2025 National Invitation Tournament began with a bracket release on Sunday, March 16. The first round tips off on Tuesday, March 18 and play continues through Thursday, April 3.

The NIT semifinals and championship will be played at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

32 teams are featured in the bracket. SMU, Dayton, San Francisco and UC Irvine received the top four seeds.

The Chattanooga Mocs won 2025 NIT, capping off its Cinderella story with an upset over No. 1 UC Irvine 85-84 in overtime. It's the program's first-ever NIT title.
