Dodd: Mack Brown deserved better, but that may be the story of his HOF career

By Dennis Dodd, CBS Sports: Mack Brown is going to be upset. At his firing Tuesday, sure. So much for the North Carolina Hall of Fame coach going out on his own terms.

Less than 24 hours after saying he would return to North Carolina for a seventh season, Brown’s bosses overruled him. The firing of the 73-year-old had a sordid quality to it.
