Buff Stampede: Colorado head coach Karl Dorrell confirmed they had “a few” players test positive for COVID-19 last weekend, but it will not prevent the Buffaloes from playing Texas in the Valero Alamo Bowl unless additional issues arise between now and the kickoff of Tuesday night’s game. In fact, after Saturday’s practice, Colorado is set to depart for San Antonio.
In a normal year, teams spend six days in the city the bowl game will be played. And outside of practices and meetings, the players are celebrated for their accomplishment of reaching the bowl game with a long list of fun team activities. Not for the Buffs in 2020… at least not yet
