By Oliver Hayes, BuffStampede: Entering the second day of the Maui Invitational, many wondered how badly the No. 2-ranked Connecticut Huskies (4-2) would beat down the Colorado Buffaloes (5-1).
The Dan Hurley-led Huskies were upset in the tournament’s opening game by Memphis, losing 99-97 in overtime. Having won its first four games of the season by 35 or more points and trying to go for a third-straight national championship, UConn’s seemingly uncharacteristic loss on Monday would presumably result in a dominating, bounce-back victory on Tuesday.
