Going by the latest AP Top 25 Poll, which revealed a new title contender and several teams creeping toward the top 10, let’s project for a moment and put pen to paper on hypothetical matchups.
The format is subject to change ahead of the 2024-25 season, but as it stands, college football’s top four seeds have first-round byes and the next four highest-rated teams — seeds 5-8 — play host to teams seeded 9-12.
