By Nick Kosko, 247Sports: The College Football Playoff is bound for expansion after the committee’s announcement to have more than four teams in the future. The expected 12-team playoff should go into effect by 2023 at the earliest.
But just because it is a few seasons away, doesn’t mean the committee isn’t going to rapidly put a plan into place. In fact, it can start as early as this summer, in regards to a timeline.
