BYU assistant Kahil Fennell to be head coach at Texas Rio Grande Valley

This time, one of Mark Pope’s assistant coaches will get his first shot at being a head coach in the Southland Conference.

Kahil Fennell will be the next head coach at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, the university announced Friday of the two-year Cougars assistant.
