Big Ten Statement: Oregon has officially clinched spot in Championship Game

By Griffin McVeigh, On3 Sports: Oregon is in the early stages of its bye week but received good news on Tuesday afternoon. The Ducks have officially clinched a spot in the Big Ten Championship Game, the conference announced.

While there is one game remaining against Washington, Dan Lanning’s team will be in Indianapolis on Dec. 7. The opponent is still to be determined.

“Following a comprehensive evaluation of all possible scenarios over the final two weeks of regular-season play across the conference’s 18 teams, there are no conditions whereby the Ducks do not finish No. 1 or No. 2,” the Big Ten said in a statement.”
