In the premiere episode of the “Nick and Stephen on Sports” show, the two SuperWest Sports senior writers/broadcasters talk about Colorado and the Deion Sanders effect.
Stephen does not seem sold on Coach Prime yet but does credit him for the strong staff he has assembled, as well as the buzz and talent he has attracted to Boulder.
They also talk about the win total that could reasonably be expected for the Buffs this upcoming season.
The conversation then turns to the 2023 crop of Pac-12 quarterbacks.
They speculate about whether or not Michael Penix could surpass Caleb Williams as the best quarterback in the Conference, and discuss the Pac-12’s overall depth at the QB position.
The episode concludes with a quick back-and-forth on Game Four of the NBA Finals, which was about to tip off as they were done recording.
Nick, remaining true to the west coast, correctly called the win for the Nuggets.
