By Athlon Sports: Led by a high-powered offense and Heisman Trophy winner and quarterback Caleb Williams, USC showed marked improvement in coach Lincoln Riley’s debut last fall. The Trojans earned a trip to the Pac-12 title game and also played in the Cotton Bowl against Tulane.
While ’22 represented a step forward, USC clearly has its sights set on contending for the CFB Playoff. Williams will once again lead one of the nation’s top offenses, but the Trojans have to get better on defense to win the Pac-12 Championship.
