ASU senior DE Anthonie Cooper suffers ACL tear in spring practice

By Chris Karpman, SunDevil Source: Senior defensive lineman Anthonie Cooper is expected to miss most of Arizona State’s season after he suffered a torn ACL in the team’s Tuesday practice.

The injury occurred when Cooper ran behind and past the quarterback while rushing from the edge into the backfield in an 11-on-11 portion of practice, with minimal contact on the play with any offensive player.

A sixth-year senior and local product out of Goodyear Millenium High School who only played in six games last year due to injuries after starting all 12 games in 2022, Anthonie Cooper suffered an ACL tear in Arizona State's Tuesday practice last week.
