By Noah Furtado, SunDevil Source: Malik McClain, Chamon Metayer and J’Mond Tapp, three transfers who arrived at Arizona State after spring ball with three stories that didn’t go according to plan, stayed late for extra work after a camp practice at Mountain America Stadium. A stillness settled in. No coaches were around. It was just them and a few others, including redshirt freshman quarterback Sam Leavitt.
Football and fun proved acutely synonymous, as McClain, Metayer and even Tapp lined up to catch passes from their soon-to-be-named starting quarterback.
