Assistant coach Antonio Pierce, ASU discussing contract extension

Sun Devil Source: Arizona State officials are involved in ongoing conversations with their associate head coach and co-defensive coordinator, Antonio Pierce, about a pay raise and an even more prominent role with the program, according to two people familiar with the development.

Discussions between ASU and Pierce were already taking place prior to Sun Devil Source reporting Tuesday that Pierce and the University of Arizona shared a mutual interest in his candidacy for the program’s vacant head coaching job and escalated in the hours that followed.
