By Will Backus, CBS Sports: Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty announced on social media that he is launching a football scholarship fund to help future athletes at the university. Jeanty is using PonyUp, Boise State’s official crowdfunding option, to raise $200,000 in support of the initiative.
“Bronco Nation, thank you for the outpour of support for me and my teammates,” Jeanty said in a video posted to social media. “So many of you have reached out to ask what you can do to help me leave a legacy. Here’s your opportunity. I’m launching the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for Football. Join me in building the scholarship fund to support future Broncos and help them realize their dreams. Go Broncos.”
