By Brian J. Pedersen, Arizona Desert Swarm: It’s been a very up and down year for Caleb Love, who has had some really big games but also quite a few stinkers. He’s unlikely to follow up his Pac-12 Player of the Year award from last season with a similar one from the Big 12, but he figures to be in contention for an all-conference nod despite how Bobby Hurley may feel.
And he’s still considered one of the top players in college basketball at his position, as evidenced by him being named a finalist Tuesday for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year.
