By Jason Scheer, Wildcat Authority: Arizona is hiring former San Jose State running backs coach Alonzo Carter in the same role. Carter just finished his seventh season with the Spartans and joined the San Jose State coaching staff in January 2017 as the running backs coach. He added the duties of recruiting coordinator in 2018 and assistant head coach in 2021.
In 2022, Carter helped Kairee Robinson run for a career-high in yards (752) and touchdowns (10).
