247Sports: On the same day the program hired Jedd Fisch as its next head coach, the Arizona Wildcats lost a quarterback to the transfer portal, as 247Sports has learned Rhett Rodriguez has officially entered the portal. Rodriguez, the son of former Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez, will be a graduate transfer.
In four seasons, Rodriguez completed 51-of-100 passes for 578 yards, throwing three touchdowns to four interceptions. He appeared in one game in 2020. His most notable season came in 2018, where he appeared in six games, starting two of them.
