By Jason Scheer, Wildcat Authority: Arizona has hired Josh Bringuel as its linebacker coach. Bringuel has been added to the staff after Duane Akina left to Texas, allowing Danny Gonzales to oversee the entire defense.
The expectation is that Gonzales will now be more big picture, but will also be helping out with safety and linebacker coaching as well. Chip Viney will oversee the cornerback position and Brett Arce will coach the entire safety unit instead of strictly the Star position.
