By Clint Buckley, 247Sports: The Big 12 Conference formally extended invitations to BYU, Cincinnati, Houston and UCF on Friday morning.
BYU currently competes as an independent in football and in the Mountain West Conference in other sports. The other three schools are from the American Athletic Conference, which was founded in 2013.
