By Grant Hughes, 247Sports: National Signing Day on Wednesday put a bow on the class of 2024, and national 247Sports analysts Brandon Huffman and Smoke Dixon joined host Emily Proud on 247Sports’ NSD coverage to share winners and losers from the recruiting cycle. The SEC, as a whole, was a big winner.
Georgia and Alabama battled for the No. 1 overall class for a second straight year, with the Bulldogs pulling ahead of the Crimson Tide late. Texas (No. 6), LSU (No. 7), Oklahoma (No. 8) and Auburn (No. 10) joined Georgia and Alabama with top-10 classes. No other conference had more than two programs finish in the top 10.
