By Brad Crawford, 247Sports: Most of college football’s toughest schedules in 2024 reside in the SEC and Big Ten, two expanded leagues which each added several playoff-contending programs. Schedule favorability means in reaching the expanded postseason and these teams will have to fight tooth and nail to get there.
Eventually, a three-loss team reaches the playoff after no two-loss finisher ever made a semifinal appearance in the four-team format in the previous era.
