By Chris Hummer, 247Sports: College football’s 2024 season is at its midway point, which makes it an ideal time to examine the true freshman landscape. Many first-year players have made a splash in their debuts, and the 247Sports Midseason True Freshman All-American Team is designed to highlight the best freshmen thus far.
The team will work out of 11 personnel (one running back, three wide receivers, one tight end) on offense and include 12 players on defense to get five defensive backs on the roster; everyone plays with a nickel back in 2024.
The team will also include a kicker and a punter.
