With several media outlets updating their Preseason College Football Top 25 rankings for 2025, and the first US LBM Coaches Poll dropping, we’ve updated our Composite Football Rankings.
They aggregate and average 20 different media rankings (so far). The formula assigns a No. 1 ranking 25 points, a No. 2 ranking 24 points, and so on.
The rounded result is divided by the number of polls and subtracted from 25, yielding the Composite Rank. Scores of less than 25 points result in a composite non-ranking.
Oregon, the top SuperWest Composite team at No. 6, appears in every list and no lower than 13th. Arizona State has the next-highest composite ranking at No. 14, but is ranked as high as No. 9.
Utah and USC make their first appearance is the composite, being ranked by at least two sources.
BYU and Boise State round out the remaining ranked SuperWest teams. UNLV appears in one ranking, and Colorado fell out of the rankings after the spring.
